Yew and Oak Dining Table

Commissioned to take its place within an eclectic collection of bespoke furniture this extending table in burr yew and ebonised oak challenged both our design and making skills.

The top is made from hand cut burr yew veneers which have been sequentially laid to give a 'starburst' pattern. The extending leaf is stored within the table in a leather lined compartment. English oak was used for the under frame, extension mechanism and hand shaped ‘blade legs’.
