Designed to meet the brief for a painted kitchen with a nod to the art deco style we used a combination of Elm and coloured lacquers to create this striking kitchen.
The kitchen was a relatively small room so it was important that the colours we used did not overpower the space, but at the same time the client was keen to be bold with colours. The pale colour scheme of the floor tiles, walls and worktops allowed us to use the red and blue colours without them overpowering. The elm and walnut used for the cabinetry and handles broke up the coloured lacquer elements.
Because of the limited space available storage and work top space was at a premium so it was important to use as much of the wall space as possible without creating a cluttered feel. The cabinetry included the main sink run with drawers, cupboard storage and a dishwasher drawer with curved display cabinet above. The built in fridge / microwave cabinets with drawers and cupboards. A wall mounted herb and oil cabinet along with additional wall and base cupboards. Open book shelves were also included.

“Cimitree gave us just what we wanted for our new kitchen – lots of exciting and imaginative design ideas from our basic brief, all brought to life with beautiful materials and superb craftsmanship. The team’s approach was friendly and informal but very professional throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. The result is everything that we had hoped for. Our kitchen is a pleasure to use, to live in, to look at and to touch. We are delighted with this lovely addition to our home and thoroughly recommend the Cimitree experience.”
